I (finally) watched An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore's Climate Change movie. To be fair, I had seen Al's presentation in person, so most of it was not news.
Still, I noticed that it is already way out of date on it's facts. A few things:
- Mentioned that nearly every major country in the world signed and ratified Kyoto except the United States and Canada. Canada has now signed and ratified. See the image at the top of the blog post (Wikipedia Creative Commons). Green countries are the ones that have signed and ratified Kyoto. Yellow countries have signed and are pending ratification. Red countries have signed and declined ratification.
- Mentioned that new estimates indicate within as early as 50 years, the summer artic might be ice free. The newest estimates say it could be within as little as 5 years.
